By the way - thanks for posting your adoption story! I love reading about how families came together! I have 3 bio kids and only one REALLY looks like me. It seems so silly - all of the questions people have asked you. Questions like "Don't you want to experience childbirth?". Don't they see that you labored for Annie just as long and hard as any bio mommy has labored for their child? Just in a different way. I have posted on Becca's blog before that I believe the word 'mom" is not a word that defines a birth process. It's a word that defines a life process. I love that you have given Annie a warm loving home and have shown her what strength a woman posesses. I love that you are so proud of her - you should be...she's a dream come true!
Oh and by the way again (I'm gonna drive you crazy now)- my daughter's birthday is November 17th 2003. What year did Annie come home? Maybe they sort of share a birthday!
I love the monkey dress...all the pictures are summer fun. I also enjoyed reading your adoption story. We have two bio. kids and two from Guatemala...one of the bio. kids somewhat resembles me...other than that, it looks like I had no part. So that isn't a guarantee. The funny thing is our daughter from Guatemala has a lot of my facial expressions though we are as different as night and day! Reba
I swear you all look like you are having too much fun...I wish EVERYONE could just be my neighbor so I could hang out will all my bloggin buddies and Kya would SO love it too.
Annie is just darling!! I love the monkey dress, too cute!!! Thanks for sharing your adotoption story. It always amazes me that we each have such unique stories and they all brought us to the same incredible place...adoption! Have a great weekend! Stacey
